The first mosque built in Sarajevo, dedicated to Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.
About
Founded in 1457 and rebuilt in 1566, the Emperor’s Mosque stands across the river from Baščaršija. Its harem holds some of the city’s oldest tombstones.
