Ilidža & Vrelo Bosne

A spa town at the western end of the tram line, with a plane-tree avenue leading to the springs of the Bosna river.

Ilidža has been a spa since Roman times. Its 3.5 km Velika aleja — lined with plane and chestnut trees — is walked, cycled or ridden in a horse-drawn fijaker to Vrelo Bosne, a park of crystal-clear streams, wooden bridges, swans and small islands where the Bosna river is born.
